The original Czech brand Dermacol has been cherishing female beauty for over half a century. One of the first covering foundations in the world was developed in Dermacol’s Czech laboratory. It began being used by Hollywood in the 1960s, and ever since, Dermacol has been synonymous with perfect skin make-up, not only in the Czech Republic but all over the world.

The Dawn Of Dermacol

The Dermacol brand launched more than 50 years ago in the Barrandov Film Studios. Soon, film studio experts teamed up with dermatologists from the Medical Cosmetics Institute in Prague. The aim was to create a covering foundation in order to help common people with skin imperfections. The beautician Mrs Olga Knoblochová was with the brand from the very beginning.

Make-Up Hollywood

Dermacol Make-up Cover, one of the first foundations in the world, has become the best assistant of female beauty all over Europe. This year, the license is sold to film studios in Hollywood. The beauty of many film stars has had its origins from Dermacol in Prague.

Clinical Testing

Clinical tests of Dermacol products are strictly supervised by the National Institute of Public Health in Prague, in accordance with European Union legislative standards.

No Testing on Animals

In compliance with the EU legislation, final Dermacol products are not tested on animals. Testing of cosmetic products on animals is banned in the EU since 2004.
